Carly Grote – Preschool/Kindergarten (Co-Head Teacher)

Carly is a co-head teacher for the Lavender classroom and an Assistant Teacher for Kindergarten Enrichment. She has been with DVMS since the 2018-19 school year when she was in the Lavender classroom as an assistant.
Carly holds an AA degree in Studio Arts and Early Childhood Education from Napa Valley College, as well as a BA in Interior Design from California State University, Fresno. She graduated from the Montessori Training Education Center in May 2021 with an American Montessori Society Teaching Credential.

Carly enjoys singing, dancing, arts & crafts, raising stick bugs, and spending time with her dog Leeloo.

Sukanya Pinjala– Preschool/Kindergarten (Co-Head Teacher)

“I have been teaching preschoolers since 2007 and received my Montessori certification at the Montessori Society Teacher Training Program. I’ve decided to make early learning my life’s work because I believe that a child’s education is the most valuable thing in the world.”

Uma Lokavarupu – Preschool/Kindergarten (Assistant teacher)

Uma has a Bachelor of Arts degree. The experience of volunteering in her son’s preschool sparked an interest to pursue childhood education. Uma completed an Associates Teacher Certification and has been teaching in Montessori schools since 2014. She loves interacting with the children, helping them learn. In her spare time, Uma enjoys gardening, yoga and taking walks.
