Infant / Young Toddler
(3 months to 18 months)
Frequency: Five-day, year-around
Schedule: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Teacher ratio: 1:3 and 1:4 teacher/child ratio
Program: This program provides a safe, loving, respectful environment for infants and young toddlers. It is designed to enhance the development of very young children by allowing them the freedom to explore the physical world, interact with other children, and experience a positive sense of self-esteem. Materials and activities are carefully chosen to allow each child to develop at his/her own rate. This program provides a respectful, responsive and reciprocal relationship with caring teachers.
Older Toddler (18 months to 2.5 years)
Frequency: five-day, year-around
Schedule: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Teacher ratio: 1:4 teacher/child ratio
Program: This program continues the development of the young child in a specifically prepared environment, allowing for personal experience, growth, independence and social development. Special attention is paid to the sensitive periods for movement, language and sensory development. Materials and activities are carefully chosen to allow each child to develop at his/her own rate.
Two year old and Transition (2 years to 3.5 years)
Frequency: Five-day option for 12 month contract & five-day option for 10 month contract (academic year)
Schedule: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (12 month contract) or 8:30 am to 11:30 am (10 month contract – academic year)
Teacher ratio: 1:4 and 1:6 teacher/child ratio
Program: Designed with the nurturing characteristics of the infant/toddler program, but with a broadened focus developmentally. The program provides the older toddler with a gentle transition between home and school. It offers a rich and stimulating environment focusing on movement, language development, daily living skills, music, and art.
